Mare is the creative collaboration between Toronto/Berlin based artists, fashion designer Hayley Gare and architectural designer Myles Marrin.

Everything I make seems to recall back to my childhood obsession with customization, This desire for customization has evolved throughout the years into an intense drive to design. What started with custom Lego products, a love for realism oil painting and architectural design has led me to fashion. Fashion - a field where product meets art in a wonderful way. I focus most of my time on architectural design, but find balance with fashion design. Regardless it all starts, sitting in a cafe, people watching with sketchbook in hand, this is where my ideas come from. The belief that my design work can positively affect the state of being in people's lives keeps me on the quest to create.

I often call myself ‘little picture’ as the details of design are what excite me. It is through these final moments of execution that sketches and concepts, which stir in my brain, become tangible. Designs become a time capsule through which I can reflect on my life. These executed designs display how my interests and perspectives change with my growth. I am driven to design in order to give a voice to the fringe artists who inspire my life. For those who live to explore their pure passion through art and design, regardless of commercial success. These non-fearful, unrefined, experimental figures paved the path for me to be where I am today, using fashion to connect my artistic mindset and entrepreneurial spirit.
